As a manager, you are usually the person responsible for hiring and firing people or receiving their resignation letters. However, if you are the person who has to submit your resignation for some reason, you must also write a formal employer resignation letter. This shows your professionalism and allows the expression of sentiments accordingly. There are several guidelines for writing your formal letter.
Format and Content of the Employer Resignation Letter
Managers are held to a higher standard than most other workers, so your letter should be completely professional. One good strategy is to keep your letter short and factual and no longer than a few paragraphs. You need to be clear about your last day of work to avoid any mess. If you have unfinished business that needs to be discussed, briefly mention this along with your phone number and email address. Finally, say a few words about how much your work and coworkers have meant to you over the years and express your good wishes well. Depending on the situation, you may want to send a copy of the letter to your employees as well as not just your supervisor.

How to Make an Employer Resignation Letter
Dear Mr. James,
I am writing this letter to inform you of my resignation from my position as manager of Win Communications, for personal reasons. My last day of work is April 29, 2020, so please accept this letter as a two-week official notification of my resignation from Win Communications. I both appreciate and appreciate your cooperation to address this issue.
I deeply regret the inconvenience Win Communications may have caused due to my resignation. I will do well during my last two weeks at the office in order to reduce stress on all concerned, such as training my assistant manager to take over my responsibilities. I feel confident that Ms. Yola will do a wonderful job managing Win Communications’ responsibilities. If you would like to discuss this further with me, please contact me any time by phone at (111) -111-1111 or by email. I will be waiting for a reply from your response.
Although I regret leaving behind the great staff and work environment at Win Communications, I believe I made the best decision to date. I will always be grateful for all the wonderful experiences I have had working at Win Communications and feel confident that it will serve me well in all my future endeavors. I of course wish everyone at Win Communications every success and hopes we can keep in touch. Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Michael Hillen
Manager
